Jim Derricott
Jim Derricott began playing Footbag in 1986 and competed in his first tournament in 1990 in his hometown of Vancouver, BC. From there he became deeply involved in developing his net game, tournament organization and the Kitsilano Footbag Association’s club development.
By 1997 Jim became the President of the KFA and was instrumental in presenting over 22 local events between 1997 and 2012. These events included the 2000 World Championships and 15 Vancouver Opens as well as numerous other local events. https://youtu.be/3MUM9l8BI7o
As a dedicated promoter of the sport, Jim has performed numerous demos at MLS soccer games, local schools, Boy Scout group demos and various TV spots as well as producing media materials promoting the sport and the club. He has also personally trained/coached/educated thousands of people who came across the club down at Kits Beach in an effort to grow the club and the sports profile.
